Overview:
University awareness campaign about hepatitis B developed at the University of California, Irvine, combining health education, art, and music in an event open to the student community.
The project brought together different campus organizations to inform and raise awareness about a disease that significantly affects certain communities, using an accessible and participatory approach.
Almost Red was responsible for filming the event, covering both the exhibition area and the live performances, and providing the footage for subsequent editing and outreach use.
The resulting pieces were conceived as both documentation and outreach material, helping to extend the impact of the event within and beyond the university environment.
A UNIVERSITY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN THROUGH ART AND MUSIC

B Here was conceived as an initiative to raise awareness about hepatitis B, a disease with a particularly high impact on Asian American communities, focusing on prevention, information, and early diagnosis.

The campaign was structured around two complementary components: an art exhibition and a live concert held at the Student Center Ballroom on campus. Access to the musical performance was linked to the prior viewing of an informational video, integrating the public health message into the cultural experience of the event.

The concert featured artists such as AJ Rafael, Jessica Sanchez, and the dance group Kaba Modern, hosted by KevJumba, turning the event into a meeting point between culture, community, and social engagement.
